I fkn broke a couple of the MANY farkle lights on this beast getting her loaded and unloaded. This Cade is almost 100% complete, intact, and stock, and in fact she also has the "deluxe" LXE package, PLUS the optional cornering lights and CB radio. Halfway through I notice clutch is going away, and when I was almost home I had just about no clutch left. Took her for about a 15 mile ride today, after getting her running, had to. Short story is, after a little persuasion, she fires right up! Not only that, but after warming up for a while, she also IDLES and accelerates well! No flat spots, it's almost as if someone had just rebuilt the carbs, she runs so well. I knew the battery was dead but sheesh I tried everything to get her to crank, no dice. Turns out you MUST have the kickstand up AND the clutch lever pulled in, or the STARTER is disabled. Too bad the guy I bought this beast from did not read the owner's manual, as I did today. Ironically enough, it was also a Suzuki, a "GS750 Water Buffalo" I believe.
The last time I rode a full-dresser motorcycle was about 30 years ago.
